Rosemary Akello becomes the second to secure US $50 loan after Nabwire. She is a mother of six children, aged 45 years and started up an income generating business of selling charcoal in the community to raise money for her family survival. She rents a single-roomed house where she operates and keeps her products. Charcoal is regarded as a main source of energy in Uganda.
It’s a pleasure that Rosemary’s lifestyle has gradually been transformed by Functional Adult Literacy skills taught to her by Feds Uganda Ministries. She now uses these newly acquired skills to manage her business. Because of the success of her business, she now earns a daily income of $4.00 a month.
With this income, she is able to care for her family. Now, her children are studying, eating, and getting the medical care they need. They are also developing socially by interacting with her clients. Rosemary has secured many friends in the community.
She testifies that she would be no more if it had not been for the ministry empowering her through her through its activity interventions and the loan system that helped her establish her business.
Now she lives a happy life and is able to help others with developmental skills of releasing them from abject poverty in Jesus’ Name!
Always pray for her business to expand from two sacks to many more sacks.
