Friends of the South Ministries

Friends of South Ministries Uganda (Feds-Uganda) is an evangelical community based organization owned by the community with commitment to Christian holistic Child development and we are located in Namayingo District in Banda Sub-County.

Our focus is to Rescue, Nurture and Disciple the vulnerable expectant mothers, women and children/babies.

Friends of South Ministries Uganda (Feds Uganda) is a plan/strategy and preparation to prevent and mitigate factors that put children at risk of low survival in early childhood stages starting from antenatal.

Friends of South Ministries Uganda (Feds Uganda) started in July 2015 with a total of thirty beneficiaries. All are still under nurturing, rescuing and discipling the mothers/women and the children, begun with thirty (30) beneficiaries that is to say children and pregnant mothers and currently has seventy five (75) registered beneficiaries.

Friends of South Ministries – Uganda has a great advantage in protecting and advocating for expectant mothers, women and children especially those who are the needy of the neediest family in poverty related situations. Our objective is to see that mothers and children live a healthy life and they are secure from high risks that can put them at mortality death rates after birth. We are proud of this ministry in the various activities it does in rescuing, nurturing and discipling the little ones to know God and implementing activities that can make mothers/women survive and become self-reliant. Many families live under polygamous and mothers are denied opportunities to exercise their rights of child rearing. This explains as to why false doctrine in gospel is common in Africa and child neglect under domestic violence. We are therefore glad for the formulation of this ministry in seeing that a mother is empowered in training of child nursing, income generating activities, saving schemes, child protection, prenatal and post natal, health screened, Growth monitored, and taught functional adult literacy.

SPECIFIC PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

To have sufficiently healthy mothers and children

To exhibit motivation and skills to mothers so that they are economically self supportive.
