Feds Uganda Ministries November 2017 Activities: Part Two
FEDS UGANDA MINISTRIES ACTIVITIES: November 2017, Part Two
During home visitation, families are empowered with
curriculum lessons on positive parenting.
Here both parents acquire skills on how to manage their children and the subject is delivered by the director for Feds Uganda Ministries.
We are proud that such challenging families in communities are individually reached to, counseled and guided to up bring health children through Nurturing and Rescuing approach.
Delivering a positive parenting lesson during
a home visitation-November 2017
Community members were sensitized on communicable diseases such as diarrhea, cholera, dysentery, bilharzia, and ways of preventing them. They are mostly caused by poor hygiene and sanitation as well as drinking dirty water from unprotected wells or lakes.
Many children could die since they were a victim of the circumstance hence causing premature death. Through the involvement of Feds Uganda Volunteers in carrying out frequent home visitations, many families have adopted drinking boiled water and have set up hygienic utensils to maintain good hygiene and sanitation.
Auma Jane harvests some beans from her garden after being trained
by Feds Uganda Ministries on food security campaigns.
She is glad to
her family survive on the harvested beans and thus fights against malnourishment among her children.
This shall also lead to promote a balanced diet and she will train others too in the community. We look forward to having nice looking children and families come 2021.
In conclusion, all this is done with an aim of promoting the gospel of Christ Jesus and transforming the lives of vulnerable women and children, first, to know Christ and then, to become self-supportive and empowered to live a sustainable live of reduced abject poverty.
