Feds Uganda Ministries is changing Family Life through its MicroLoan Project.
Women were trained on how to develop their village spirit by experiencing the benefits of saving money. It involved changes in culture, attitude, and perceptions if life is to be improved. Many of the community members live under abject poverty and this has affected the family’s standard of living. It manifests itself by negatively impacting the community, especially children health, creating high rates of school dropouts since many depend on seasonal rainfall which is unreliable to favor crop cultivation.
Now 56 women are registered to start village group money saving as a way of community empowerment. Later, a free interest loan is expected to be given out to the members with an objective of starting small scale businesses to help eradicate poverty in their families. Through borrowing the monies and investing in businesses, children shall be able to attend schools and childcare and families standards shall change in the due course.
Donors who Invest in our MicroLoan project helps save many lives from perishing in poverty by helping them develop sustainable activities.
