Feds Uganda Ministries Conducts Horticulture Project Phase Three Training!

Feds Uganda Ministries trained forty families in a new methodology of growing vegetables in their small garden holdings. The objective is to see by 2021, malnutrition/bad practice of feeding in children is reduced to a least 90% as we target a total number of 1000.
Many children and families are culprits of suffering from kwashiorkor, and this has affected their health to stunted growth and developing stomach swells changing to yellowish in color. Therefore we encouraged women to share the preventive idea of health is wealth to as the entire community benefits from the program and recommended ways of feeding their children on vegetables as a supplement on balance diet. Besides, vegetables are a source of body medicine that cures certain diseases.
After the training, women received Collards, Drumheads, Tomatoes, Eggplants and Onion seedlings for planting. We are pleased that the processing is still ongoing until 2021. Thank you for your generosity and care in changing lives that had lost Hope in our community.
